Safety Data Sheets
A Safety Data Sheet is a detailed informational document that is prepared by the manufacturer or importer of a hazardous chemical. An SDS provides comprehensive information for safe handling, first aid and personal protection for products contained in the workplace chemical inventory.
A Safety Data Sheet repository is required under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS). Employers must ensure that SDS's are readily accessible to employees for all hazardous chemicals in their workplace. The HCS requires the maintenance of SDS's for 30 years past the date of use of any given product.
CentraVance Consulting has an electronic repository that allows printing of the whole repository, or specific products, as needed.
